The Turkish Hammam | Bukharim Quarter, Jerusalem

A detailed plan for the rehabilitation of the historic Turkish Hammam (bathhouse) in the Bukharim Quarter and the addition of multiple floors above it. The Hammam was constructed in the early 20th century, but after ceasing operations in the 1980s, its physical condition severely deteriorated.

The planning scheme included restoring the structure to its original form while adding five new residential stories above the bathhouse. Significant effort was dedicated to developing a structural solution for the vertical addition that would not obscure the restored historic domes.
